LabelInfo provides ingredient awareness from visible label text. An educational note may include scan confidence, uncertainty, and questions to ask a doctor, pharmacist, or qualified professional. This is not medical advice.

Information handled by the app

• Scans may store visible label text, ingredient explanations, scan confidence, selected learning lenses, uncertainty notes, and professional questions.
• Saved learning may store lessons or educational note items you choose to revisit.
• If you sign in with Google, LabelInfo may receive account details such as your name, email address, and profile image from the sign-in provider.
• If you enable notifications, LabelInfo may store an Expo push token, platform, device identifier, registration status, and test-notification delivery details.
• Scan images are stored locally on your device for app history thumbnails. They are not added to the public website.

How information is used

LabelInfo uses scan content to show plain-language ingredient explanations, ingredient awareness notes, visible label text evidence, scan confidence, saved scan history, and questions to ask a qualified professional.

Account and notification information is used to support sign-in, saved learning, scan history, app reminders, and test notifications when you choose those features.

Storage and retention

Signed-in account data, saved scans, saved learning, learning activity, and notification tokens may be stored in the LabelInfo backend powered by Convex. Guest data may remain tied to the current device or a local app user record.

Local scan images are kept on the device for scan history previews. Deleting a scan or clearing account data can remove related local image records from that device.

Website privacy

This website is static and does not include forms, cookies, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or remote image retention. Cloudflare may process standard request information to deliver the site and protect the service.

Your choices

• You can use LabelInfo as a guest or sign in with Google where available.
• You can disable notifications in the app or device settings.
• You can delete saved scans from the app history.
• Signed-in users can request account deletion in the app, which removes account-linked scan history, saved learning, notification tokens, and related account rows handled by the app.
