Agreement and eligibility

By downloading, accessing, or using LabelInfo, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement.

Educational purpose and boundary

LabelInfo helps explain the product in front of you by combining captured package evidence with general product and ingredient knowledge. It offers educational notes for ingredient awareness, including what an ingredient commonly does and what it may be associated with. It may also describe product identity and common uses, allergens or sensitivities, directions, warnings, storage, materials, disposal, certifications, and package claims.

LabelInfo is not a medical device. Information may be incomplete and is not medical advice. The service does not decide whether a food, medicine, supplement, cosmetic, cleaner, or ingredient is suitable for a particular person and does not replace a doctor, pharmacist, poison-control service, manufacturer, or other qualified professional when the circumstances call for one.

AI output, scan confidence, and your responsibility

Camera quality, cropping, lighting, packaging design, language, obscured text, provider limitations, and incomplete label coverage can affect a result. Scan confidence measures image readability and evidence coverage, not product quality or suitability. AI output can omit, misread, misclassify, or generate incorrect information.

Check the physical package, warnings, ingredient list, nutrition or supplement panel, medicine directions, expiry information, and manufacturer instructions before acting. Do not use LabelInfo as the sole source for an emergency, allergy, poisoning, dosage, interaction, pregnancy, breastfeeding, child, pet, or other health-related decision.

Your images, questions, and permission to process them

You retain any rights you have in images, label content, questions, and feedback you submit. You give LabelInfo and its service providers a limited, worldwide permission to host, transmit, reproduce, analyze, and format that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and support the requested LabelInfo feature and comply with law. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to provider retention, backups, and legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

You must have permission to capture and process submitted content. Do not submit private documents, prescriptions, patient records, faces, contact details, or other personal information that is unnecessary for understanding a product label.

Scan-specific product questions

Eligible Premium users may ask brief questions about a saved scan. The feature is limited to the scanned product and its thread, may reject unrelated or instruction-manipulation requests, and may enforce message and answer-length limits. A response is educational output subject to the same accuracy and professional-use limits as a scan result. Availability, limits, and provider models may change.

Licence and ownership

LabelInfo is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms and applicable store rules, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use LabelInfo on devices you own or control for its intended purpose.

The app, website, branding, design, software, prompts, compiled data structures, and other service materials are owned by LabelInfo's developer or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. No rights are granted except those expressly stated here.

For iOS, the Apple Standard EULA also applies. Android distribution is subject to the Google Play terms. Applicable store terms control if they conflict with these terms.

Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellation

LabelInfo may offer free, ad-supported, trial, promotional, or paid Premium access. The store presents the current price, billing period, trial terms, taxes, and renewal details before purchase. Unless the store says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the Apple App Store or Google Play account settings at least as required by that store before renewal.

Purchases, refunds, billing disputes, family sharing, restoration, and cancellation are governed by the applicable store and mandatory consumer law. Deleting LabelInfo data or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Premium features and ad removal depend on a valid entitlement being recognized by the app and may take time to restore after a store or network interruption.

Ads and rewarded access

The free experience may include native, banner, interstitial, rewarded, or app-open ads from third-party providers. If you voluntarily complete a rewarded ad, the app may grant a limited scan credit. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, may expire or be limited, and may be withheld or reversed for invalid traffic, abuse, provider failure, or technical error. An ad does not mean LabelInfo endorses the advertiser or advertised product.

Saved history and availability

Saved scan history is protected by a credential on the current device and cloud-backed for that device; it is not a general cross-device account. Keep any information you need independently. The service, a provider, a scan, a chat, an ad, or a subscription feature may be changed, limited, suspended, interrupted, or discontinued for maintenance, security, provider availability, legal requirements, or product updates.

The app may require an update or temporarily block interaction during a critical update or maintenance period. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate the required action through the app or store.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use LabelInfo to provide professional medical, pharmaceutical, dietary, emergency, or product-clearance advice to another person.
• Interfere with, overload, scrape, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service, another user's data, provider credentials, or security controls.
• Reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, or create a competing service from LabelInfo except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harmful, or unnecessary personal content, or attempt to manipulate AI instructions or evade feature limits.
• Generate invalid ad traffic, automate rewarded ads, misuse promotional access, or interfere with subscription validation.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using LabelInfo at any time and can delete saved data as described on the Delete Saved Data page. We may limit or end access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, provider restrictions, repeated misuse, non-payment, or a material breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, remain effective.

Third-party services

LabelInfo relies on AI, hosting, notification, subscription, store, advertising, and website providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. We are responsible for selecting and integrating providers with reasonable care, but we do not control independent store decisions, advertisements, provider outages, or third-party content.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, LabelInfo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or complete and accurate output. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LabelInfo's developer and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, lost data or profits, or decisions made in reliance on incomplete or inaccurate scan or chat output. This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

Applicable law and disputes

Applicable law, mandatory consumer protections, and the rules of the store through which you obtained LabelInfo govern your use. Before starting a formal dispute, contact us and describe the issue so we can try to resolve it informally. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent court relief or using a regulator, small-claims process, or consumer remedy available under applicable law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when LabelInfo, its providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate app, website, or store notice where required. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, stop using the service.
